Mary Cameron

Mary is Occupational Hygiene Team Leader for SOCOTEC’s south-based occupational hygiene team. With over five years of experience as an occupational hygienist, Mary is a certified occupational hygienist having obtained the BOHS Certificate of Operational Competence in Occupational Hygiene. She is currently working towards the BOHS Diploma of Professional Competence in Occupational Hygiene to gain chartered status. She undertakes a wide range of occupational exposure monitoring including airborne hazardous substances, noise and vibration assessments, with particular expertise in local exhaust ventilation examination and testing. Her team also offers a breadth of additional services such as indoor air quality assessments, lighting surveys and assessments of exposure to physical agents such as ionising radiation. Mary has also been volunteering for the BOHS as Midlands regional organiser for several years. These meetings cover a wide range of topics involving occupational health and hygiene. Mary is also volunteering on the organising committee for the BOHS/ILEVE ‘LEV – Extracting the Best Practices’ conference.
