Cutting Carbon and Developing Alternative Fuels

On 1 April 2015, as part of the Government’s carbon price floor reform, the UK’s top-up carbon tax was doubled from £9.54 to £18.08, meaning that it’s now costing companies significantly more to burn coal in Britain. The Government hopes that the rise in the UK carbon floor price will make businesses rethink their energy strategies and lead them away from finite fuel sources towards greener and renewable power.
